Film Las Cruces has partnered with the Rio Grande Theatre to create a once-a-month screening for Las Cruces and Doña Ana County artists. The next screening will be from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Birding Basics Class. Mesilla Valley Audubon Society will present a three-part class on Birding Basics on consecutive Tuesday evenings, September 1, 8, and 15, in the Creative Arts room of Las Cruces Village Senior Living. The class is free and is intended for those with little or no experience birding. Topics covered include bird identification, birding locations, recording and sharing observations, bird conservation, and meeting and learning from other birders.
