Open Space Brewing is a nano craft brewery, founded by Alexa Tubbs “Highlight” and Matt Leef “Brew Hiker.” They met while thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail in 2019 and bonded over a love for the outdoors and great beer.
Inspired by their experiences, they established Open Space Brewing in Santa Clara, New Mexico, to craft quality ales and honor the trails and open spaces that bring people together.
Opened on Oct. 28, 2023, Open Space Brewing is an adventure-focused business that combines love for beer and the outdoors. Throughout the year, it dedicates a portion of its earnings to support local outdoor recreation projects, trail building, and conservation in the Gila Wilderness.
The brewery welcomes outdoor enthusiasts, families, friends, dogs (and cats!), aiming to inspire community and preserve open spaces.
