I-25 Erosion Control, Mile Markers 35.2, 35.58, & 43.27 Hatch/Rincon

Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing with erosion control along I-25 between Rincon and Hatch. The contractor will be working on the southbound off ramp and Rincon (Exit 35) and near milepost 43. I-25 may be reduced to a single lane depending on the work location.  Drivers should be vigilant for construction signing.  The contractor’s hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

I-10 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 64 to 75, Deming CN1101890

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 from milepost 64 (Gage) to milepost 75 (just west of Deming) in Luna County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. Overnight lane closure may be in place for the placement of the concrete wall barrier and guardrail installations. Areas of construction may be heavily congested. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I-10 Roadway Resurfacing Project, Mile Marker 146 to 164.3, Las Cruces to Anthony

Brasier Asphalt Inc., (Contractor), this project is now in winter suspension until Spring 2025. All lanes open.

I-10 Bridge & Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 143, Las Cruces CNLC00371

La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing a bridge rehabilitation project on I-10 over the University Ave Interchange, milepost 141.  This project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction and lighting. Starting Monday, January 27, 2025, traffic will be shifted into the westbound lanes with the eastbound lanes and on/off ramps closed for bridge construction. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the project.  The contractor’s working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 149 to 150 Las Cruces LC00271

El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is continuing a project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. All traffic has been placed on the new eastbound lanes of US 70 (2 lanes open eastbound and 1 lane open westbound) and the existing westbound lanes will be closed for construction. The speed limit is reduced to 35 miles per hour throughout the construction zone. For the safety of the traveling public, the Alameda Arroyo trail crossing remains CLOSED. El Camino Real Road is closed for the placement of the new storm drain, follow detour signage. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone, obey lower posted speed limits and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends if needed. Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) US 70 from MP 153 to 161 (Mesa Grande to town of Organ) is now in winter suspension, all lanes are open.

NM 101, University Ave Multimodal Project, Mesilla LC00290

La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing the multi-modal project on University Avenue/New Mexico State Road 101 from Avenida de Mesilla to South Main Street. The roadway near the Laguna Lateral will be closed for the removal and reconstruction of the concrete box. A detour will redirect traffic from Avenida de Mesilla, W Union Ave, to McDowell Place. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures near the intersection of Avenida de Mesilla and University Ave replacing the old sidewalk adding in ADA ramps and removing fencing throughout the project. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

NM 404, Four Lane Widening Project, Anthony to Chapparal E100203

Mountain States Constructors INC. (Contractor) will have their sub-contractor, Kimo Construction install rip rap and gabion baskets for erosion work at the concrete box culverts off to the shoulders of NM 404 from milepost 3 to milepost 8.  This work will only require should work signage on each side of the road for the next three weeks, where NM 404 existing posted speed limit signs are up to 65 MPH and all lanes are open.  The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
