Residents, visitors urged to rediscover Downtown Silver City on Love Local day on July 3
Merchants in Downtown Silver City want local residents and visitors to stop, take a stroll and discover or even rediscover what they have to offer.
The Silver City MainStreet Program, whose mission is to encourage a “vibrant, historic Downtown Silver City,” is sponsoring a Love Local campaign on Saturday, July 3.
Downtown Silver City has more than 20 places to eat and drink, more than 20 retail shops and 20 art galleries.
“There are more than 130 businesses Downtown,” said Evangeline Zamora, board vice president for Silver City MainStreet. “There are antique shops, retail shops, galleries, restaurants and coffee houses, day spas, historic hotels, the Silco Theater, the Silver City Museum, real-estate offices, the El Sol Theater and more than 25 service businesses. It’s a great mix of businesses and that is what makes our Downtown vibrant.”
Participating merchants will be offering deals, discounts and free drawings. More than 50 businesses will participate.
