Galactic 02 soon to be astronauts walk out to the Land Rovers to be taken on their journey to space, then return as astronauts Thursday, Aug. 9.
The crew of Galactic 02 included three private passengers and three Virgin Galactic employees. Jon Goodwin became the first Olympian and second person diagnosed with Parkinson's disease to fly to space, while Keisha Schahaff and Anastasia Mayers became the first mother-daughter duo and first people from the Caribbean to fly to space; while Mayers also became the second youngest person to fly to space, as of August 2023.
