New aerospace association vice chairs named

Aerospace States Association (ASA) New Mexico Chair, Lt. Gov. Howie Morales, has appointed Casey Anglada DeRaad, CEO, NewSpace New Mexico, and Joe Bullington, Commercialization Manager, Jacobs Technology as Vice Chairs of the ASA New Mexico Chapter, leveraging NewSpace New Mexico as a partnering organization. Both Casey Anglada DeRaad and Joe Bullington will bring the full benefits from their leadership of NewSpace New Mexico to the New Mexico ASA Chapter.

Casey Anglada DeRaad is the CEO of NewSpace New Mexico and Joe Bullington is the Commercialization Manager at Jacobs Technology and also leads the NewSpace New Mexico Industry Forum. NewSpace New Mexico is a non-profit organization established to bring together the space stakeholders in New Mexico, promote a universal voice for space leadership, and grow the commercial space innovation base in New Mexico for the benefit of our State and the Nation.

Morales and Joe Bullington to leverage the state of New Mexico’s many space assets as we enter a new space age, with excitement about the possibility of returning to the Moon and venturing beyond,” said Anglada DeRaad. New Mexico is already at an advantage with over 90 space-related companies and unparalleled intellectual capital with Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Air Force Research Laboratory, and the NASA White Sands Test Facility.  New Mexico also boasts a leading Air Force hub focused on space, purpose-built Spaceport America, and a diverse STEM workforce solving space-related challenges. 

The Aerospace States Association creates impactful partnerships among state government, education, industry, and associations in the greater aerospace and aviation community and is a 501c3 organization of state elected officials working to advance aviation and space flight in member states and throughout the nation.
