LCPD to host town hall on reducing property and violent crime

Las Cruces police Chief Jeremy Story will host a town hall on April 25 in the city council chambers at Las Cruces City Hall. The town hall starts at 6 p.m. Its expected to last an hour.

LCPD has been hosting quarterly town halls for several months now. The last one was in January. It featured a rundown of crime statistics and presentations about resources for unhoused people in Las Cruces. The town halls also feature opportunities for the public to question police administrators in an open forum.  

According to a news release, this quarters town hall will feature crime statistics from January to March and how they compare to last year.

For people who cant attend in person, the town hall will be live streamed on the citys website and YouTube channel. Its also televised live on CLCTV and Comcast Cable channel 20 and Comcast Cable channel 928.
