Students of the Las Cruces Academy honored Earth Day on April 22. They learned about many environmental issues over the previous two weeks, including plastic pollution, climate change and deforestation.
Each of the 23 students in grades 3 to 8 chose a topic, then designed and drew a poster.
Lining a sidewalk by the Mesilla Town Hall, they waved to passing motorists and called attention to their concerns and hopes. The posters can be viewed at the Town Hall.
