After a year off because of the pandemic, Kids Can is back with Kids Can Candyland Christmas holiday youth market 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Plaza de Las Cruces Downtown.
The market will include products created and sold by children ages 6 to 17 who are residents of Doña Ana County, said Kids Can Director April Christensen. All products are made by the participants, and include arts, crafts, jewelry, personal-care products, clothing and more.
As part of the program, participating youth are invited to create a business plan, develop a product or service and then open their business at the market.
Registration for participants closed Nov. 15.
Sponsorships for the youth market are still available and range from $100 to $5,000.
Kids Can is a program of the Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, which is sponsoring a pre-market business-plan workshop for participating youth on Nov. 20.
