“Gypsy: A Musical Fable” will open Friday, June 2, for a three weekend-run at Las Cruces Community Theatre (LCCT), 313 N. Main St. downtown. Tickets are $17 for adults, $14 for seniors, students and miliary and $10 for children.

Visit www.lcctnm.org/gypsy to purchase tickets online. Tickets will also be available at the box office before each show, but reservations are recommended. “Gypsy” was written by Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents, loosely based on the memoirs of burlesque entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee (1911-70).

The LCCT production is directed by Constance Hasapopoulos, with a cast that includes Janet Beatty-Payne, Cassandra Galban, David Edwards, Dustin Wright, Ed Montez, Teddy Aspen Sanchez and Rachel Thomas-Chappel. Richard Fredrick is the costume designer, Anna Robillard is co-choreographer, Doug Roby (also in the cast) is the set designer and Marvel Arias-Anderson is the music director. Borderland A’s antique car club is providing 1920s and ‘30s automobiles that will be on display at the front of the theatre to add to the production.
