Posted

The Grant County Community Foundation was created to enrich lives through collective action across southwest New Mexico, and serves as a vessel to provide sustainable and permanent financial support for area nonprofits. The Community Foundation acts as a liaison to help organize and strengthen individual nonprofit organizations in Grant, Luna, Hidalgo, and Catron counties. Through strategic charitable giving, the Community Foundation enriches and advances the missions of nonprofits not just for one year, or even a generation, but in perpetuity.

The Community Foundation also functions to provide strategic donor opportunities to local citizens who want to give back to their community. Through the establishment of permanent funds, donors can sustain local charitable organizations and fulfill wishes that are close to their hearts. Through the Community Foundation’s planned giving programs, donors can honor loved ones or leave a legacy that benefits the community for generations to come.

The executive director of the Grant County Community Foundation is responsible for the planning, operation, administration and expansion of activities of the Community Foundation. In this capacity, the executive director provides professional leadership and assistance to the board of directors in growing the Community Foundation as an increasingly effective, sustainable organization. The executive director acts in an advisory capacity to the board and all committees regarding projects of the Community Foundation and upholds the highest standards of integrity and community responsibility in both professional and personal conduct.
