The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will host Spooky Splash Movie Nights from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday nights in October at the Las Cruces Natatorium, 1405 E. Hadley Ave. Friday, Oct. 24: “Beetlejuice” (1988), rated PG. Admission is one unopened, non perishable food item per person. Items will be checked for expiration dates upon entry. All donations will benefit the local food bank. Proper swimwear is required. Children 8 and under must be accompanied in the pool by an adult age 18 or older, with a ratio of one adult for every two children. The Friends of the Branigan Library will have their last Book Sale of the year on Friday October 24-Sunday October 26. Friday and Saturday hours are 10-4 and Sunday, fill a bag day, from 1-3. vThe DEA’s prescription drug take-back even is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25th and is open to anyone who wishes to properly dispose prescription drugs.
