We love the presence of Desert Exposure as the place to go for arts and entertainment feature content in southern New Mexico. We will continue to seek the best stories in those genres as we go forward.
As we do so, we have also enjoyed looking into the history of Silver City and the surrounding area, and we want to highlight more of the people who make this region special. I love interviewing interesting people and sharing their stories, and we have begun sprinkling some of that kind of lifestyle content into our mix.
This month, a new contributor, Raleigh Burleigh shares the story of 104-year-old James William Harrison. I hope you enjoy reading about his amazing life of service.
As you’re exploring this edition, think about the people you know and the places to which you’ve been. We want to share the stories of people and places from all corners of southern New Mexico. Please send your story ideas my way and we’ll get to as many of them as we can. Desert Exposure is your magazine, focuses on the arts, the people, and the history of Silver City and beyond. You can reach me by email at kurt@lascrucesbulletin.com.
Thanks for reading the July issue of Desert Exposure.
Hope you enjoy it.
