The nonprofit Ngage New Mexico culminates its two-week Virtual Lip Sync Battle with the 10th annual Celebrity Karaoke, 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM), 2640 El Paseo Road.
Tickets are $30 for the event, which benefits Ngage New Mexico and other participating nonprofits: The Children’s Reading Alliance, Doña Ana County Humane Society, Doña Ana Arts Council, La Piñon Sexual Assault Recovery Services, Kids Can of CAA and Jardin de los Niños.
This year’s celebrity Karaoke music videos will be viewed during the event, and winners of the Doña Ammy awards announced for the those raising the most funds. The awards program will include hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction and a cash bar hosted by Dry Point Distillery.
Ngage New Mexico began the fundraiser 10 years ago. Ngage invited other local nonprofits to join in 2020 as part of its mission to help build capacity of other Doña Ana County serving nonprofits.
In addition to CFSNM, event sponsors include Nusenda Credit Union, The New Mexico Foundation: The Vecino Fund.
