The No Strings Theatre Company, based at the Black Box Theatre in downtown Las Cruces, will hold open auditions later this month for a production of “Home,” written by David Storey and directed by NSTC Artistic Director Ceil Herman. The performance dates are March 1 thru 17.

The audition call is for 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Black Box, 430 N. Main Street. The production is looking for two men of age 20 to 50 and a woman of age 30-50. The auditions will consist of readings from the script. A perusal copy will be available at the “Ask Here” desk at Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Avenue from Jan. 14, the theatre said in a news release.

The theatre offered a description that includes a plot spoiler, so subscribers might want to avoid reading the rest of this paragraph:  The play, per NSTC,  “is a very entertaining play set in a mental hospital, although this fact is revealed gradually as the play progresses. As the characters interact, we realize that their delusions are similar to those of normal folks.”

Further information is available by calling the director at 575-650-7915.
