2 theater groups wrap up latest plays this weekend

Two community theater productions are finishing up their runs this weekend.

“Radium Girls, put on by the No Strings Theatre Company, is closing this weekend, wrapping up a three-week run at Black Box Theatre, 430 N. Main St. Downtown. The play, written by D.W. Gregory and directed by Autumn Gieb, has four remaining performances: 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13. Tickets are $15 for regular admission, $12 for students and seniors over age 65 and $10 for all seats for the Thursday, Feb. 10, performance.  The cast includes Joseluis Solorazno, Nancy Cline Tafoya, Debbie Jo Felix, David Arias, Autry Sutcliff, Penny Bever, Lisa Taylor, Doug Abbott and Genno Tafoya.  Call 575-523-1223. ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ musical closes

The Las Cruces Community Theatre’s production of “Little Miss Sunshine, A Road Musical,” also closes this weekend after a three weekend run.

The show has three remaining performances at Las Cruces Community Theatre, 313 N. Main St. Downtown: 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 11-12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13. Tickets are $17 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, students and members of the miliary and $10 for children. Reserve tickets at www.lcctnm.org/little-miss-sunshine.

The show is directed by Janet Beatty-Payne, with Amanda Bradford as musical director in addition to starring in the show. The cast also includes Jason Wyatt, Hyde Brown, Kayla Bradford, Amanda Bradford, James Boberg, Brandon Brown, Teddy Sanchez, Francesca Perez-Wright, Steven Trujillo, Maya Bradford, Marley Yerxa and Sofia Wyatt. Ginny May is the show’s accompanist and Kim Skaggs is the percussionist. Music and lyrics are by William Finn, with book and direction by James Lapine. The musical was adapted from the 2006 film of the same name.
