The menorah is lit during MEGA Chanukah on the Plaza, an event held at Plaza de Las Cruces by Chabad of Las Cruces Sunday Nov. 28. Chanukah begins at sunset and continues for 8 days. This year’s celebration on the plaza welcomed and fed close to 1,000 people featuring a live concert, Gelt drop by the Las Cruces Fire Department, a Chanukah pop up shop and variety of craft activities for children.
