The Sun, traveling through Libra this month, reminds us to ground more fully in our center; then it enters Scorpio on the 22nd, deepening our capacity to see the truth. Libra energy is about far more that seeking harmony. It is about rebalancing the world through owning and honoring ourselves in the here and now. With the full moon in Aries on the 14th, we discover new courage, and the new moon on the 28th in Scorpio pushes us to be more genuine in our intimate exchanges.

Mars enters Scorpio on the 3rd, inspiring actions based on deep-seated motives. Mercury, retrograde since Sept. 24, turns direct in Libra on the 15th; we are less likely to be swayed by others and more likely now to be driven forward by the things that matter most to us. Venus enters Sagittarius on the 18th, as we listen intently and respectfully to the philosophies of others. Retrograde since May 25, Chiron turns direct in Aquarius on Oct. 25; we take what we have learned from the difficulties we have traversed, and use what we have now become to create something better.

Famous Libras: Mahatma Gandhi, Jesse Jackson, Naomi Watts

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) — Happy birthday, Libra! You abandon convention and set yourself free. There is a lot to be said for throwing caution to the wind and letting ourselves be childlike. It is here that we can enter more fully into the passionate experience of embracing and following our creative voice. Indulge yourself!

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) — Your way of perceiving life can lead to a sense of aloneness, but now you find your beauty reflected back to you by others, Scorpio. As we become more aware collectively of our need to grow our capacity to dwell in more honesty and consciousness, you find yourself feeling more at home here.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) — You pull your focus inward now, Sag. In order to make real what you desire, you need to disengage from the outer world and move into a seat of contemplation. You tune out and tune in. You are able to stay steady in your center, and this gives more choices along the lines that you want to strengthen.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) — There is a priceless quality to the gift of genuine validation. When we are fortunate enough to spend time with people who are capable of seeing us and receiving us in ways that bring us real sustenance, we are renewed. So many people feel so unseen and unloved. When we are accepted for who we really are, there is great healing to behold.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) — The opportunities to embrace and immerse yourself in things that ignite a feeling of passion are what you pursue now, Aquarius. We may not feel completely confident exploring new arenas, but as we move in new ways, we find new footing. There is great support for you in the places we long to be.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) — Boundaries are not the easiest thing for a Pisces to negotiate. You learn new techniques and strategies for deflecting interfering energies. Rather than hiding in order to avoid being overwhelmed, you are able to acknowledge things more directly, and this empowers you to establish more solid and healthy psychic and emotional boundaries.

ARIES (March 21-April 19) — In order to show up for others, we need to take care of ourselves. You turn your attention toward your own private life and work there in order to create greater balance. As you tune into your own private life first, you are able to move through the outer world with clearer purpose.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20) — The work you have done to restore peace and to find resolutions allows you to turn your attention toward the future, Taurus. Sometimes, we end up using our energy on the subtle work of negotiating relationships and the world around us and have little left for anything else. You feel a new sense of freedom and optimism.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) — You use that brilliant mind of yours to step into a place of greater authority now, Gemini. Oftentimes we live underneath the confines that we have been taught by others in positions of authority. You say, "No more!" to that. You decide what is allowed and what is possible and move more fully in those directions.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) — It is human nature to share and give freely when we are feeling supported and sustained. You teach others as you live in ways that inspire them. What can you share? You encourage others to pursue what they really want to pursue and you lead them as you move more deeply into your own self-fulfillment.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) — You can see how you have progressed, Leo. It is nice to look around and see that what you have committed your energy to has led to the changes and accomplishments you had hoped for. As you acknowledge where you have succeeded, you begin to imagine a whole new set of possibilities.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) — You are empowered, Virgo. It is a good place to be. We are each capable of participating fully in rebalancing the world, and it is through existing in our health and power that we do this. What do you want to create? That is the question at hand. You are able to bring your dreams forward into manifest reality. The time is now.
