D e s e r t   E x p o s u r e    March 2008

The Sun, traveling through Pisces this month, helps us to smooth out the rough edges and find new places where we can blend with others — until it enters Aries on the 18th marking the Spring Equinox and igniting us into action. Pisces energy is where we experience our personal boundaries dissolving. The new moon on the 7th, also in Pisces, guides us into deeper levels of emotional awareness of our interconnectedness and inspires us to merge with those we love. It is here, in this place, that we can experience our divinity. The full moon in Libra on the 21st emboldens us to stay steady in our center. We can be strong and balanced all at the same time.

Mercury, the planet of communication, moves through Aquarius until the 14th, when it enters Pisces. There is no time like the present to share our visions and to be compassionate in our exchanges with each other. Mars enters Cancer on the 4th, reminding us to let our emotions be what drives us as we take action. Venus, the planet of love and beauty, joins Uranus, the planet of revolution, in Pisces on the 28th, opening us up to honor our own spirits more fully and to respect the unique paths we each must travel.

Famous Pisces: Albert Einstein, Michelangelo, Johnny Cash

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) — Happy birthday, Pisces! This is a perfect time for you to consider what you have learned about yourself that you had been unaware of in the past and to use this information to build more support for yourself. Life has a way of awakening us when we least expect it, and we can use this material to sculpt wonderful new things.

ARIES (March 21-April 19) — You discard outside sources and return firmly to your own center, Aries. One thing authority figures can teach us is how to wield authority on behalf of ourselves inside our private lives. When we advocate for ourselves through listening to our dreams and acting on them, we are strong and vital.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20) — You benefit through truthful assessment of your present circumstances. Much of what might seem difficult or worrisome can shift to hold a different meaning when you look at it in a new light. It is the process of feeling your feelings that brings you new strength now, Taurus. Use what you learn to make a shift.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) — Some things call for deep analysis and your mind is adept in these realms. Now, you toss your intellect to the side and shift into a more organic approach to life. There is a mystery around every corner and you open yourself up to all possibilities. Sometimes we have to leave behind our intellect to receive all the blessings life wants to shower us with.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) — You seem to be able to get what you set your sights on, Cancer. Now, you settle more fully into the moment and enjoy what is already here inside of your world. It's as simple as taking a deep breath and looking around you. Your space is filled with things you enjoy. The pleasure is yours for the taking.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) — Leos love to live large and it is natural to be drawn toward indulgence. But now, you notice where you feel too filled up and move away from things when the energy begins to feel overwhelming. Sure, you can handle it, but do you really want to? Give yourself the option to be where you feel best.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) — There is nothing more healing and regenerating for a Virgo than periods of solitude. These times don't have to be long or disruptive — an hour here or there apart from everyone else can bring tremendous relief. It is a great practice to orchestrate this type of nourishment into the design of your life.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) — You pull yourself from the view of the large picture and bring your focus down to earth, Libra. It is here, inside the structures surrounding us, that many of us are destined to unfold, participate and shine. Bring yourself to the table and enjoy new forms of existence.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) — You search for higher meaning, Scorpio, but that just isn't enough. You turn to real life to find ways to coexist in-depth with people who are capable of knowing you on such levels. We transform the world by being present in truthful, revealing ways. You find those among you who can handle and appreciate who you are.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) — If you find you run into a snag, remember that you can shift your thinking and find a new view into the situation that feels more empowering, Sag. One thing that is true of people with strong energy is that they bring that power to whatever they focus on. Go into your feelings and explore what you find yourself in the midst of. It is there that you discover your next move.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) — Your tendency to ground for security can work against you sometimes, Capricorn. You are challenged to trust when things take a turn and move in a new way. Part of being creatively alive involves being unearthed and vulnerable. It is here that you discover projects worthy of grounding.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) — There is nourishment for you in the material pleasures this world has to offer, Aquarius. Reach out to what gives you pleasure and revel in the beauty that is here for you to partake of. This is a perfect time to slow down and delight in sensual pleasures. We need the visionaries among us to feel good! k
