The Sun, traveling through Virgo this month, brings us back home to ourselves as we reassess and reaffirm our boundaries — until it enters Libra on the 23rd, and we turn to others in search of a mirror. Virgo energy is about organic perfection. We must know ourselves, apart from the collective, in order to unfold in ways that are in alignment with our personal spiritual integrity. We can realize our divinity by listening to our perceptions and following our heart. From a place of holistic self-containment, we can merge with others in balanced ways and no one is compromised. The new moon/solar eclipse in Virgo on the 11th heightens our discernment and strengthens our sense of self-honor. We listen to ourselves with greater compassion. The full moon in Aries on the 26th compels us support our deepest desires and to be there for ourselves by taking deliberate actions.

Mercury, traveling direct, enters Libra on the 5th and moves into Scorpio on the 27th. Mercury represents how we communicate and process information. We affect each other as we show up and interface inside of each other's realities. Can we reflect our beauty back to one another and hold space for true empowerment? Venus turns direct in Leo on the 8th. We see the value in self-exaltation and inspire others as we shine. As we each express our beauty here, the world grows a little less dim for everyone. Mars travels through Gemini this month and enters Cancer on the 28th, inspiring us to act on behalf of our feelings. Saturn, the taskmaster, heads into Virgo on the 2nd where it will stay for the next few years. Chiron in Aquarius, Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius continue traveling retrograde this month. We contemplate our wounds, our higher selves and the spiritual nature of life. Pluto turns direct on the 28th in Sagittarius after many months of retrograde motion. We should all feel more open space a head to move more fully into our power here.

Famous Virgos: Mother Teresa, Ivan the Terrible, Van Morrison

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) — Happy birthday, Virgo! There is nothing more beneficial for a Virgo than peace and quiet. Take the space, take a deep breath and go with the flow. You are in your element as you surrender to the natural order of things. Oftentimes, you are so far ahead of the curve that you can wind up feeling lost or off course, when you are actually just arriving with all your work done a little early. Trust yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) — One of the high gifts of divine union is what we learn there about ourselves. You take time to grow in independent ways now, Libra. Your capacity to accommodate others can leave you disconnected from yourself, as you are so tuned into their needs. Whenever you can seize a moment of solitude, you give yourself the chance to gain insight into yourself and your life. The more you know about yourself, the better partner you can be in all your relationships.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) — You search for the divine in the ordinary, Scorpio. Sometimes we have to just narrow our vision and drop down more fully into everyday life in order to lessen the intensity and lighten things up. You might not realize it all the time, but most people are not tuned into life in the same way you are. You seem to gain a sense of peace when you meet people on their level. Not for forever — just long enough to take a break and to make connecting a little easier.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) — You put your foot down, Sag. You refuse to be pushed around or to move too fast. You step into the control seat and set a pace that works better for you and feels more comfortable overall. You will get where you are going and you realize speeding won't make a difference in the end. So, you might as well set a pace that allows you to enjoy the journey more.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) — Even Capricorns can feel too much pressure with excessive energy running through and around them. You take action to turn the flame down and get things into a more comfortable state. Too much passion leads to burnout. You take the reins and reset the tempo to a better pace for everyone involved.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) — You rise up and show the world that your heart is good and your intentions are noble, Aquarius. Everyone needs inspiration and you have confidence in realms that many others are frightened to enter into. People are growing weary of things that are not working for them and your courage helps us all to take chances and move in new ways.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) — This is a perfect to time to contemplate and realize all that is good in your life, Pisces. From this empowered place, you look with strength toward the horizon and dream new dreams. There is something quite breathtaking about the visionary capacity you hold combined with the pragmatism needed to carry things forward into manifestation. You can do it.

ARIES (March 21-April 19) — You realize the power of your mind, Aries. Things seem to change completely depending on your perspective. You consider your options and take your feelings into account. When things are working, you are filled with energy. When things seem to being going wrong, you are wise to drop back and let it all realign. Too much action in the wrong direction just amplifies what is undesirable.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20) — There is nothing quite as disturbing to the world of a Taurus than shifting ground underfoot. When the earth moves beneath us, we can't help but feel destabilized — it's only human. Working with the unknown allows us to create more sustaining structures for ourselves. So, no matter how uncomfortable change can be, if we work with it consciously and use it to our advantage, we can shift things in a better direction.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) — Even Geminis can be reluctant to face the seemingly endless cycles of change that make up a life. This is a time of transformation for you. What you are learning now is deep and soul-altering. So, the more you can focus inward and support yourself, the better. This is a good time for lying low and deepening your compassion for yourself.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) — You take it all to heart, Cancer. Now is the time to remember that things are not always as they appear. You know what matters and you know what drives you. Keeping your focus on the truth and on the spiritual motives that underly all your life choices helps you to keep your center. This is where the power lies.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) — You move from the cosmic to the pragmatic, Leo. You take what you know and bring it down to earth. Infusing this reality with your higher energy is what this time is about. Follow your inspiration to shine and you will inspire others to do the same. Your nature is to enjoy this world and to be free and creative. The more you do this, the healthier this world becomes.
