Ah, where on earth would we be without the gentle Pisces of the world? This month the sun travels through this great sign of spirituality—until March 20, when it enters Aries, announcing the start of a brand-new solar year with the spring equinox. How do we exist in our spirituality in this material world? Pisces holds the key. It is crucial that we delineate ourselves apart from the collective in order to experience our own personal divinity. Then, we can raise the energy of the world by existing here fully in our spiritual light. The full moon on March 14 in Virgo forms a powerful lunar eclipse as we turn inward to listen closely to ourselves and become more discerning. As we define our own boundaries, we grow in our capacity to be ourselves more fully and are able to practice living a life of self-actualization. We must know ourselves and give the space for our own expression if we are to really contribute to a creating a healthier world. The new moon on March 29 in Aries forms a powerful total solar eclipse. We begin the new solar year with a clean slate.

March begins with the Sun, the Moon and Uranus all together at the first degree of Pisces, amplifying the relevance of a private spiritual experience as the fundamental key to global balance. Mercury turns retrograde on March 2 in Pisces and travels backwards through this sign until March 25. How can we communicate our spiritual essence? Venus enters Aquarius on March 6, opening us all up to loving our fellow man and all his eccentricities a little more. Mars continues its journey through Gemini, inviting us to consider our many options and to take actions in the directions that inspire us, even if the choice is an unusual one for us. Jupiter turns retrograde this month in Scorpio and we turn inward to discover how we might grow in ways that allow us to expand further into our lives. Saturn traveling retrograde in Leo empowers us to dive into deeper levels of self-discovery. Neptune is in Aquarius and Uranus is in Pisces. Pluto turns retrograde at the end of March and will not turn direct again until early September. The time is perfect for applying our desire for transformation toward our own souls. Chiron in Aquarius encourages us all to own our authenticity with courage.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)—Happy Birthday, Pisces! What would you consider to be true great fortune? Your unique perspective on what is really valuable in life is refreshing and enhances the lives of those around you. When we look at the idea of spiritual self-sacrifice, we must consider the other end of the spectrum. Why not offer the world the experience of your own fulfillment?

ARIES (March 21-April 19)—It is not always easy for an Aries to negotiate the tightrope of harmonious coexistence. We must honor ourselves before we can honor others. You, more than others, are truly adept when it comes to knowing your desires. Now, you apply equal respect to the needs of others in order to achieve a masterful state of balance in your relationships.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)—It is one thing to go with the flow, but when we apply ourselves toward success and end up feeling as though we have effected nothing, it can be truly devastating for a Taurus. Your amazing capacity to stay focused and on task is hard for the rest of the world to comprehend. But, to you, it is second nature. Be gentle with yourself and honor what you have done. Now, it is time to let go and allow the universe to catch up with you.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)—There is no more worthy or noble endeavor than learning to listen to and honor our feelings. There is sorrow to feel and you are able to touch into past feelings that were not given room before. It is astounding to witness the repercussions of integration. When we experience our true feelings about anything in life, including our own history, we become free to be present emotionally inside of our current lives.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)—Step forward, Cancer. The beauty of your focus is a sight to behold. We underestimate the power we have to affect things. You are able now to be centered and to be powerful in your focused intent. Show us all just what it is that you believe worthy of creating by making it real.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)—You have a lot to be proud of, Leo. It is not always easy to move through an oppressive world feeling worthy of true self-expression. How dare we revel in our own glory? Ask instead, "How dare we not?" We are divine and we must realize our personal wonder and love ourselves if we are to fill this world with light.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)—OK, Virgo. Now is the time to apply that great mind of yours. Look at the things in your life that concern you. Become clear about what it is that you want to see changed. Then, take that great mental power you possess and apply it to the task at hand. No one knows how to move your life to the next level better than you do. All you must realize is that you are phenomenal and capable of evolving your life forward to the next level of empowerment.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)—It's time to reel in that tremendous capacity of yours to empathize with everyone and care just about yourself for a moment. Sensitivity toward the needs and wants of others is a gift, but it can become debilitating if we are not careful to take time apart from others and tend to our own needs, too. The question you must pose is a simple one: "What do I need?"

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)—The Scorpios among us can find themselves twiddling their thumbs, awaiting those around them to get what's going on. Now, you couldn't care less as you head on into your future with great energy. Others will catch up with you in their own time and in their own way. You are ignited and ready to go and nothing can hold you back.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)—Your passion is contagious, Sag. We all become more capable of pursuing what thrills as we witness you follow your dreams and visions. So many people have become estranged from their own desires and your willingness to honor yours awakens others to do the same. Inspire us, please!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)—Nothing can keep a Capricorn from getting where they are going. You rise up and face down the challenges that come your way. You feel most alive when you are presented with situations that require you to apply yourself in daring ways. You are fulfilled in your pursuits.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)—One of the more challenging aspects of life and coexistence is that we are not always going to find the perfect balance with others. We are all evolving and becoming ourselves more and more in this day and age. The greatest gift we can offer ourselves and others is honor. As we honor our own divinity and that of others, we will find our way to greater states of shared harmony.
