co-director and producer Nell Shipman), Bert Van Tuyle was a former race
car driver and his saving of the heroine in the proverbial nick of time
was meant to prove what a sturdy automobile the Maxwell really was. But
Shipman manages to insert a few thoughts about the quick changing of
the Old West in general and women's place in a modern society in particular.
