It's time to celebrate those courageous Aquarians among us who dare to be authentic and, by doing so, encourage us all to be ourselves more fully. This month the sun travels through this great sign of self-expression, empowering us all to honor the uniqueness of every soul; then on Feb. 19 it enters Pisces and we experience the profound fact that we are all divine. So now is the time to acknowledge those among us who dare to be who they are, even when it is different from what the world considers to be most acceptable. The truth is that we live in a very restrictive paradigm and those with the courage to break free are certainly worthy of our respect, gratitude and admiration! The time is coming when the world expands to hold more space for our highest expressions and it is the Aquarians in our lives who move with grace and ease in the unknown and who can show us all the way to be stable with more and more freedom. The full moon on Feb. 12 will be in Leo, inviting us to consider the necessity of personal exaltation as the main requirement for the creation of healthy tribes, and the new moon on Feb. 27 in Pisces asks us to recognize that sacrificing who we are is not the highest spiritual path to travel now. We must be who we are and exist with those who honor themselves and us, and then we can create a healthier spiritual world together.

February begins with Mercury traveling direct in Aquarius and then entering Pisces on Feb. 9, reenforcing our need to apply the principle of authenic self-expression as the highest directive in our communications with each other. Venus continues its retrograde movement through Capricorn until Feb. 4, when it turns direct. We are ready now to apply our energy toward the things that matter most to us. We are all a bit more clear and aligned with what it is that we consider worthy of our focus, and this empowers us to take action in the right dirctions. Mars in Taurus gives us steady footing and then moves into Gemini on Feb. 18, when we share and explore with ease. Jupiter continues its year-long journey through Scorpio, expanding us all to become more at home in the depths. With Saturn retrogade in Leo, we deepen our awareness of the need for self-exaltation inside all of the structures we create. Neptune is in Aquarius, Uranus is in Pisces and Pluto is in Sagituarius. These three slow-moving outer planets remain steady in affirming the principle of personal empowerment as the ultimate path of spirituality in this day and age. Chiron in Aquarius helps us to acknowledge the past pain of the intolerance of authentic self expression, which frees us all to go forward. Just think of all the fun ahead!

Famous Aquarians: Oprah Winfrey, Bob Marley, Paul Newman.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)—Happy birthday, Aquarius! There is no time like the present to take concrete steps to turn those magnificent visions of yours into reality. You can see what actions to take and enjoy a posture of self-assurance and a sense of being quite adept when it comes to working within the parameters required to manifest your dreams.

PISCES (Feb. 19-Mar. 20 )—Who said that enjoying the pleasures of the material world was unholy? Embodying our spirits in these bodies in this world, and enjoying the physical gifts that the human experience offers us, is a perfectly divine choice. It is the distortions created by repressing healthy desire that turn beauty into darkness.

ARIES (Mar. 21-Apr. 19)—This is a good time to focus on stabilizing things, Aries. What can you do to strengthen what you value? Turn your attention to what matters most to you and give your heart to tending to those things. How can you nourish and make stronger the values that are deepest and most heartfelt inside of you? Pour your energy forth into the things you care most about.

TAURUS (Apr. 20-May 20)—Let the goodness of the world shower over you now, Taurus. You teach others as you enjoy the beauty of the physical world and indulge in the pleasures of life. So many people have been taught to move themselves away from the very things that make them happy, and you help us all grow as you teach us to enjoy the luxuries here now around us.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)—One of the challenges of having an adept and powerful mind is that it can take off in undesirable directions and cause us to expend lots of energy in seemingly unproductive ways. When we find ourselves worrying, it is worth investigating the inner source of our concern. Then, we can take action to advocate on our own behalf because we are validating our feelings.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)—Life is a series of cycles. We plant seeds, cultivate them, and then reap the harvest. During the cycles of life, we will feel at times as though we are super productive and effective and then we have days when we find ourselves mired in a sense of futility. There is the ebb and the flow and the in-between. All the phases are necessary to the wholeness of life. Be gentle with your sweet self.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)—Perhaps it's the season, but you find yourself running a bit on the side of caution these days, Leo. You are more conservative and considerate when it comes to how you handle the assets you have to work with. You are wise and confident and find comfort in your ability to act efficiently rather than compulsively.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)—You enjoy the harvest of your great work, Virgo. It is easy for you to lose sight of the fact that you are ceaselessly working and to forget just what that implies. You have earned great things for having done all that hard work! You are so devoted to what you do and to the tasks at hand that it is a surprise to look up and discover there is a payoff coming your way for all that you have done. There is no one more deserving than you!

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)—There is something quite beautiful about witnessing a person in the midst of happiness and pleasure. You are the one to behold, Libra. Now is the time for you to discover more of the things that add a sense of luxury to your life and to open you up to invite more pleasure into your environment. Your enjoyment is contagious.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)—Whatever you decide to do, act on it quickly now, Scorpio. Where you may have felt mired in stagnation in the past, you are suddenly catapulted into mobility and freedom. The tendency to waver or feel incapacitated by indecision is suddenly lifted as if by magic. You are freed up and energized to move on.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)—What you do now will affect what is possible later on. The foundation that you lay down defines the parameters of what you are capable of constructing. Taking the time to contemplate your long-term goals before concretizing your foundation will pay off with high dividends.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)—You are able to coexist in greater harmony with people who hold opposite views and values than you do, Capricorn. There is a kind of truce that you embrace as you feel the truth of your own beliefs and a sense of safety in the presence of others. Everyone can be who they are and no one needs to change in order for you to grow further the things that you value.
